lyrics
I've always felt I was outta step with the times, told to follow rules/fall in line, I paid no mind
I never gave a fuck I made my own way, turned my back on society never looked the other way
We don't care about the things that you own
We don't care who you claim to know
For the outcasts, the misfits, a place to belong, untied and strong, we found our salvation in song
Chorus:
Forever and always, out of step with the times
Pushing onward, against the grain till we die
Forever and always, out of step with the times
Pushing onward, against the grain is all that we know
You can't let this world tear you apart
Poison your soul, try and steal your heart
Drag down and destroy everything you enjoy, everything you believe, every dream you've achieved
Every thought, every action, every independent choice
Powers that be slowly robbing your voice
and you're all just sheep, asleep in in a dream, the mainstream schemes, nothing here is what it seems
Chorus:
Forever and always, out of step with the times
Pushing onward, against the grain till we die
Forever and always, out of step with the times
Pushing onward, against the grain is all that we know
(Against the grain till we die)
(Stay outta step with the times)
Forever forsake the empty and fake, this fucking plastic world
(Against the grain till we die)
Forever forsake the empty and fake, I'll stay,
(Stay outta step with the times)

I have to say that when it comes to hardcore I'm not the biggest fan of beatdown. But with that being said I fucking love this EP from start to finish. I happened to stumble upon the video for "SOS" and had to hear more. I found "Extinguished" and knew I had to buy it. The rage, discontent, and self-empowerment that bleeds out of every track is amazing. This is hardcore. ransik187
